Our Mission

ASOWOS is committed to empowering women and young girls to pursue careers in STEM. Through our tailored programs, we provide access to quality education, mentorship, and resources that inspire and nurture scientific curiosity. Our mission is to make STEM accessible, inclusive, and achievable for all women, regardless of their background.

Our Story

The Association of Women into Science (ASOWOS) was founded in 2018 by Kenkoh Mesei Dilys Nfumse, Tangwa Nadarge Mangan, Agbor Veronica, and Bongajum Flora. They aimed to close the gender gap in STEM by creating a community that encourages girls and women to pursue science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Today, ASOWOS partners with educational institutions to empower girls to break barriers and lead in science. We are "The Gateway for Women into Science."

The Purpose Behind Our Passion

Our Values

At the core of the Association of Women into Science (ASOWOS) are values and principles that guide our mission, shape our actions, and define our commitment to empowering women and girls in STEM.

Empowerment

Our commitment is to empower women and girls with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to excel in STEM fields. By providing access to resources and opportunities, we enable them to take charge of their future and lead in their chosen paths.

Whole Human Focus

Our holistic approach prioritizes comprehensive wellbeing, covering health, education, economic empowerment, and community support.

Sustainability

By integrating environmental consciousness into our curriculum, we prepare our participants to be responsible stewards of the planet, using science and technology for the greater good.

Integrity

Integrity is a cornerstone of our organization. We are committed to acting with honesty, transparency, and accountability in all our endeavors.
